In only his third eventing start Luda Lacroix has shown yet again that he's a multi-talented young stallion. His first competition at Preliminary level and he finished 3rd amongst a quality field. After a decent dressage test he jumped double clear to finish on his dressage score. His first crop of youngsters broken in this year are displaying all the traits of their sire: Great attitudes, super movers and heaps of jumping talent. Highfield Luda Lafayette is out of a petite double cross star kingdom mare and at 3yo is showing super technique over free jumps and moves like a star. He will mature to around 15.2hh and is for sale to the perfect home!
If Lacroix is anything to go by then those lucky people with his progeny have lots to look forward to!

Australian Warmbloods Super Sire Luda Lacroix won the Intro level (Training 3) at the tough Wandin Park course in Victoria last weekend (28/11/08).
After an average dressage test which Rebecca Alsop wasn't pleased with he was sitting on fourth - mostly because his paces are really developing well. Jumping clear in both cross country and show jumping moved Lacroix and Rebecca into first place.
Some of Lacroix's first progeny are reaching riding age and champion eventer Sally Hudson is looking forward to her 3yo coming home from her initial training at Jason McInnes's in a few weeks time. Another of his progeny will be for sale at the AEA Burong auction on 20th December.
All Lacroix sponsors including Lucy Morton Photography were very pleased with the outcome and are sure Lacroix is on his way to the olympics!

Highfield Foxilicious started Highfield Equestrian Centre's competition campaign with a 4th place in the Bacchus Marsh (near Melbourne) Horse Trials last weekend. After a short warmup for the dressage he produced a nice test followed by a hectic Showjumping and then a sterling cross country effort with only one stop at the water which was as good as could be expected!
